❤️ Hello, my name is Aliz Victoria (and my mom tells me that I live up to my name). I'm 8 years old, I have a very cute younger sister and an amazing mom. I was born in Nicaragua and recently arrived in the United States. Everything was new to me, but I tried to be strong. I have learned the language very quickly and at school I have made a lot of effort. I am very proud because I have received several diplomas for my effort. I like to learn and it makes me happy to feel that I can achieve good things despite how difficult everything is. A few years ago I was told that I have a very serious kidney disease. I'm currently receiving dialysis and that, although I know it's the best, sometimes I don't like it very much. I would like to be with my friends and my little sister playing and not missing school so much. But I also have many friends in the hospital. Eventually I will need a kidney transplant, because it is the only way to be able to continue living and have a life like other children's: going to school, playing, dancing, drawing, learning and dreaming about my future. But now I'm facing a very big problem. In order to continue moving forward more calmly with the treatment I need, it is also necessary that my legal situation in this country is in order. My family needs help from an immigration lawyer to guide and accompany us in this process. Without that, I can't move forward in the process of moving to an active transplant list that could save my life. All this is a little difficult for my family. The expenses are too high: lawyers, paperwork, medical studies, medicines, transportation and many other things that we cannot afford alone. That's why we're asking for help, hoping that kind-hearted people can support us. Any help, no matter how small, means a lot to me. ❤️ Hola, me llamo Aliz Victoria (y mi mamá me dice que le hago honor a mi nombre). Tengo 8 años, tengo una hermana menor muy linda y una mamá increíble. Nací en Nicaragua y hace poco llegué a Estados Unidos. Todo era nuevo para mí, pero he tratado de ser fuerte. He aprendido el idioma muy rápido y en la escuela me he esforzado mucho. Estoy muy orgullosa porque he recibido varios diplomas por mi esfuerzo. Me gusta aprender y me hace feliz sentir que puedo lograr cosas buenas a pesar de lo difícil que es todo.
Hace algunos años me dijeron que tengo una enfermedad en los riñones muy seria. Actualmente estoy recibiendo diálisis y eso, aunque sé que es lo mejor, a veces no me gusta mucho. Me gustaría estar con mis amigos y mi hermanita jugando y no faltar tanto a la escuela. Pero también tengo muchos amigos en el hospital. Eventualmente necesitaré un trasplante de riñón, porque es la única forma de poder seguir viviendo y tener una vida como la de otros niños: ir a la escuela, jugar, bailar, dibujar, aprender y soñar con mi futuro.
Pero ahora estoy enfrentando un problema muy grande. Para poder seguir avanzando con mas tranquilidad con el tratamiento que necesito, también es necesario que mi situación legal en este país esté en orden. Mi familia necesita ayuda de un abogado de inmigración que nos guíe y nos acompañe en este proceso. Sin eso, no puedo avanzar en el proceso de pasar a una lista activa de trasplante que podría salvarme la vida. Todo esto es un poco difícil para mi familia. Los gastos son demasiado altos: abogados, trámites, estudios médicos, medicamentos, transporte y muchas otras cosas que no podemos pagar solos. Por eso estamos pidiendo ayuda, con la esperanza de que personas de buen corazón puedan apoyarnos. Cualquier ayuda, por pequeña que sea, significa muchísimo para mí. Cada donación me acerca un paso más a la posibilidad de seguir viviendo. Y si no puedes ayudar económicamente, compartir mi historia también puede hacer una gran diferencia.
