Vet Bill for Patchell

Do you know this dog?! He is loved by soooo many on Vashon. Seen frequently at the library, the park, KVI and all around town. Your children all run up and pet his fluffy head and he doesn’t seem to mind. He stays close to his owner Barbara and her grandkids and is the sweetest most gentle and loyal guy. He has been a therapy dog for my mom since we lost my dad a few years back. I don’t know what she would have done or would do without him. Well now, we face that question. Patchell fell ill a few nights ago, was rushed to Tacoma and went right into emergency surgery to save his life. Things seemed to improve but then took a turn for the worst. We are all waiting and hoping. Barbara is sick over being away from him and wondering his fate.
the medical bills have added up faster than we could keep up or imagine. Working at Thriftway has not been possible for my mom since Covid-19 but she’s been managing. This is not making her grief any easier. No one wants to even consider funds when they are worried about the life of a loved one. Can we help?
Patchell is currently fighting a pneumonia and struggling to breath in an oxygen box and these medical bills  slowly continue to increase.
Hoping to hear good news of improvement in the morning. We will keep you all posted!!!!
