Vera Silva's Husband is debilitated with Cancer

Hi, my name is Ginny Pohlman, and I’m fundraising for Vera Lucia Silva Ramos, a self-made immigrant from Brazil who moved to the US 27 years ago. She is now a hard-working citizen that doesn’t ask for handouts and gifts, but she needs help currently. Previously she was the child provider for my daughter (the best anyone could ever ask for) and has been a highly qualified housekeeper for the last twenty years. Her husband, Charlie, was diagnosed with metastatic rectal cancer, which has spread to the liver, and on top of that, he got GBS, which is a syndrome that attacks the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord that can cause Paralysis. He is now being cared for at an outpatient facility. The doctors are not offering any prospects. It is a wait-and-see. Charlie is a self-employed house painter. They also have s special needs son who needs attention during this very difficult time. With no income coming in from Charlie, the additional costs of taking care of him are causing much stress, strain, and financial duress to Vera and her family. The fund will be used to take care of the monthly expenses of medical bills, rent, utilities, and food.
