Rolly and the Venne Family
Roland Venne, affectionately nicknamed Rolly (Roll-ee), has been an employee of Northern Micro for over 24 years as a Service Technician.
We all know Rolly for his big stature, soft spoken speech, and technical skill. But some of us may not know that he is a devoted father and caretaker husband to his wife, Diane.
After recovering from a stroke in 2014, Diane needs accessibility devices to maintain her quality of life - and by her side, Rolly ensures her needs are taken care of.

A House Fire Destroys Everything
On the night of July 23rd, just before bedtime, Diane noticed an orange reflection on the wall and called Rolly over to investigate.
Upon discovering a fire originating from the garage, Rolly urgently found the fire extinguisher and attempted to put it out, but the extinguisher was a small one meant for little grease fires in the kitchen.
After realizing there was no way he could put the fire out, the entire family evacuated and waited for emergency services to arrive.
The Aftermath of Destruction

Thankfully all members of the family, Roland, Diane and cats all made it out safely. But tragically, the fire destroyed everything - leaving them with nothing.
Picking up the pieces, figuring out what to do, and getting back to normal from such a devastating event is a slow process. But what's most urgent is the need to assist with expenses associated with Diane's special needs, all of which add up very quickly.

Consider the many items that are needed to sustain a quality of life for one with accessibility needs:
- Accessible Bed
- Lift Chair
- Wheel Chair
- Seat for the bathtub
- Arms for the toilet
- Walker & Cane
- Railing for stairs
Many of these things, we just take for granted.

As a soft-spoken man of few words, Rolly is never known to complain, or ask anything of us. Which is why we need to show Rolly and his family we are here for him in his time of need after such tragedy, to help him rebuild and get back to normal.
