The Veggie Bus is entering its third phase of life in South Los Angeles. It began as a school bus in the 1970s. It was converted from diesel to run on vegetable oil in the 1990s as it shuttled young people and vegetables around town. Now, our volunteers are making it into a classroom and seed library.

Your donation will ensure local neighbors will enjoy classes along with the wifi powered by the solar panel on the roof as well as the cooling system for a comfortable learning space. Classes onboard include learning how to harvest seeds, eat more nutritious and locally grown produce. The Veggie Bus is located at the Paul Robeson Wellness Center in South Los Angeles at 6569 S. Vermont.  We have raised 50% of of goal and you can help us get to the finish line. We seek $5,000 by October 1st.
