Wheelchair Lift Van for Mom

Mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when my brother Vince was born (1988). She led a pretty normal life until her MS began to progress in 2006. My dad immediately stepped up as her awesome caregiver and supporter, but after losing him to Cancer in 2010, she's been left with no income, and a very tight budget centered around paying caregivers for 24 hour care.

The 26th of January was mom's birthday, and her first time out of the house since early November! She broke her arm the day before my wedding, and in combination with her paralysis from the neck down (can't move, but can still feel pain), it has been a rough recovery. She can no longer sit upright in a normal chair (or car for that matter), and being stuck in the house has been a serious drain on her quality of life.

Straight to the point: Mom needs a van with a wheelchair lift. This means she will be able to be loaded into a vehicle while remaining in her wheelchair. A vehicle with this ability will dramatically increase her quality of life.

My mom is the most generous person I know, and she has been giving everything she can to people in need for her entire life. She has no idea that I am posting this for her, and I'm hoping to meet this goal to surprise her with a van :) It would be amazing to include all of you in directly improving a wonderful, deserving person's life.
