Valerie's Recovery

My name is Danny and I'm the oldest of my mom Valerie's four kids. Many of you have probably met our mom at some point in time and many of you might not have. She's one of the hardest working single mom's I've been blessed to know and right now, she's fighting even harder than normal. She has struggled over the past couple years with different health conditions and last Tuesday, March 24th, she had a hemorrhagic stroke that has caused bleeding into her brain. She was rushed to the emergency room and spent a couple days in ICU but has since been moved to a rehab facility at our local hospital. Unfortunately she has lost function and sensation on the right side of her body and has a long road of recovery ahead and will be out of work for quite some time. She has been keeping her spirits up as best she can and the strength and determination she is showing so far is incredible. While there are four of us attempting to maintain her bills and care for her while she is out, we also have to continue taking care of our responsibilities as well. Any help that you can give would be appreciated more than words can describe. Whether it's financially or simply through keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. I think she might be a bit embarrassed to know about this page but I know her appreciation for your support in her recovery would be beyond words. The goal listed is a rough estimate of what would help for about a month and if the goal is passed we'll be able to ensure she won't have to rush back to work and can stay focused on getting her health as close to normal as possible.
