Urgent Islamic Appeal for Al Misbaah Institute!

We reach out to you with a heartfelt appeal for support to sustain and elevate the Al Misbaah Institute/Al Ihsaan Islamic Center, our spiritual home with two dedicated locations in Hamtramck and Warren. These establishments are beacons of knowledge, unity, and service, shaping the future of our community.

At the core of our mission is the provision of affordable Islamic education across all levels, from basic teachings to intensive courses such as hifz and alim/alima programs. We also offer essential religious services, including the five daily prayers, Friday prayers, Eid prayers, funeral prayers, and more. Additionally, our centers host a myriad of community events and classes—tafsir, seerah, Quranic gatherings, potlucks, barbecues, and community excursions—that foster bonds and enrich lives.

Al Misbaah Institute/Al Ihsaan Islamic Center also proudly nurtures a vibrant Muslim Youth Association of Michigan (MYAM), a dynamic community within our larger family, boasting over 200 energetic and passionate members. MYAM serves as a cornerstone for our youth, offering a platform for growth through engaging events, transformative programs, and valuable mentorship. Your generous contributions will not only fortify the existing initiatives but will also be allocated strategically to further develop and sustain MYAM. These funds will support innovative youth events, impactful programs, and foster an environment of guidance and mentorship, empowering the next generation to navigate the challenges of today while staying rooted in their Islamic values. Our Islamic courses/islamic schools also boast a total of over 200 students.

Despite the challenges faced during the pandemic, our commitment remains unwavering. We now turn to you, our cherished community, seeking financial support. The funds raised will be meticulously allocated to crucial areas. Firstly, we aim to settle and pay off our interest-free qarde hasanah, interest-free loans given to us by the community to help build and start these pillars of community during our development stages, ensuring our financial foundation is steadfast.

Moreover, your contributions will enhance our facilities, including classrooms, bathrooms, recreational areas, and prayer spaces, creating an optimal environment for learning and worship. We also intend to invest in our devoted management team, providing fair and livable wages to those who serve the religious needs of our community.

A significant portion of the funds will aid in overcoming a unique challenge—resolving a tax foreclosure issue with the city of Warren. Despite our non-profit status, a bureaucratic oversight during the lockdowns of 2020 led to a temporary misclassification. We are actively working with CAIR to rectify this matter, but in the interim, your urgent support is vital to securing the future of our establishments.

Your generosity will also extend to student supplies, ensuring access to educational resources, and improving our classrooms with essentials like desks and smart boards. Together, we can fortify the Al Misbaah Institute/Al Ihsaan Islamic Center, ensuring it continues to thrive as a pillar of our community.
