Urgent ‘At Risk’
Urgent ‘At Risk’ request by Hazara Community Geelong.
Following the collapse of the Afghanistan government, terror and chaos has unfolded into a humanitarian crisis as the Taliban reimpose brutal and harsh fundamentalist religious laws. Minorities are the most targeted. The Australian Hazara Community are traumatized as they helplessly watch their country; people and families undergo ethnic cleansing.
Please donate and contribute to support our campaign. Hazara Community Geelong is established by Australians who endeavour to work with international groups to provide the necessary skills and networks to deliver results. We are already acting to assist many individuals who are being persecuted for their service with humanitarian organisations. We need to immediately increase our response, or we may lose the chance to save others who remain at extreme risk. Australian Hazaras currently retain links with our communities in Afghanistan. All funds raised will be used in crisis response to provide shelter, food and medical assistance to at risk families and internally and externally displaced individuals. We are committed to ensuring the world will never again stand idly by while the Taliban massacres innocent civilians.
Local media outlets and our own sources report there are hundreds families in Jaghori Ghazni who have fled the Malistan district following Taliban massacres, with a further hundreds families in Bamiyan and thousands s families at Nili, Daykundi, similar numbers fleeing Diakondi central province and many families displaced in Pansher Province . We expect the crisis to dramatically escalate.
