I am fundraising for my dear friend Srilakshmi and her husband Naveen, who is courageously fighting Stage 4 colon cancer.
What should be one of the happiest times in their lives has turned into an unimaginable battle. Srilakshmi has recently given birth and is now caring for a newborn while also trying to support her husband through this life-threatening illness.
At the same time, they are raising their young son — making this an incredibly overwhelming emotional and financial burden for the family.
Naveen’s Diagnosis & Treatment
In the middle of this journey, Naveen was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. He underwent major surgery where doctors had to remove a significant portion of his colon. Following this, he was advised to undergo multiple cycles of chemotherapy as part of his treatment plan. With the help of friends and family, they were able to complete the initial cycles of chemotherapy. However, his treatment is far from over.
Current Situation — Urgent Need
Recent medical reports and scans show that the cancer is still active and progressing, and doctors have emphasized that treatment cannot be delayed or interrupted. He now urgently needs to continue the remaining chemotherapy cycles, along with ongoing medications, monitoring, and hospital care.
Any delay in treatment could significantly impact his condition. Despite all efforts, they are now struggling to arrange the funds needed to continue his treatment. The estimated immediate cost for upcoming chemotherapy/ immunotherapy cycles, medications, and essential medical care is around $15,000 and the overall financial burden continues to grow.
