Update on Liz's battle with Glioblastoma. Please share.

LIZ’S FIGHT4LIFE. Hi friends. WE NEED YOUR HELP. We have a single momma who is in the fight of her life. For Liz, 36, the beginning of 2024 began pretty much the same as any other year… working hard, raising a teenage son, Alex (14), and trying to keep a home. However, in June 2024, Liz randomly began to have seizures..up to 10 a day. On July 10th, her doctor ordered an MRI of her brain and on July 11th, Liz’s nightmare that quickly became her reality began. The MRI results came back that Liz had a mass in her right temporal lobe and was immediately admitted to the hospital for a spinal tap and additional testing. On July 31st, Liz was referred to University of Penn in Philadelphia because the tumor had infiltrated her whole right lobe and on September 6, Liz underwent a 14 hour craniotomy to remove the entire right temporal lobe and tumor. It was then identified as malignant. As if that wasn’t stressful enough, on September 26, the pathology results from the removed tumor came back and Liz was given the diagnosis. GLIOBLASTOMA, GRADE 4. Also known as the most deadly aggressive type of brain cancer known. Liz will begin treatments of a hard core chemo and radiation combo next week consisting of 5 days a week of radiation for 6 weeks followed by 6 months of chemo. Any of you who know Liz knows that she is not a quitter! On the contrary. Liz is a fighter of all fighters. But this is going to be tough. She and Alex really need our help and support. With Liz’s personality of always being on the giving side of life rather than the receiving side, Liz had a tough time accepting the idea of a go fund me on her behalf but has accepted the realization that she and Alex will need a lot of help and all of her efforts need to go toward her fight…If we can possibly take some of the financial burden off of her, that will be a huge help. Liz and Alex are extremely gracious and thankful to all of you for any help and/or prayers that you could give.
