University Tuition Fees Aid

Hello, My name is Sid and I am from India. Five years ago, I arrived in the UK with £300 and a place on the Games Design and Art course at Southampton University. It’s been a rocky road for me since then, and my family and I have worked hard to help me achieve a dream that, where I come from, isn’t popular. Despite my difficulties, I began my final year as a stronger, more reliable student shaped by my years on the course and my work outside of it. Games design is something I’m incredibly passionate about, and I want to have a long and impactful career in this industry. However, tuition for international students is high – around £14,000 a year. My family was managing, for the sake of my future, but things reached a breaking point in my parents’ relationship, and things began to fall apart. The financial burden for my final year fell entirely on my mum, who works hard and is determined to see me graduate. But, like so many others in the world, she has been badly impacted by Covid-19, and this has made it incredibly difficult for us to work through the payments. The funding would really help me finish my education and move in the right direction. I have worked extremely hard to get where I am right now and it would mean the world to me if I could get an opportunity to finish this chapter and begin a new one as a game designer. I know that life is far from easy for so many people right now, and I am so grateful for anyone who helps. I cannot thank you enough.
