(Un)Free Will (A Series of Shorts)

(Un)Free Will is a SERIES of short films, written from the soul by Robby Kendall. (Un)Free Will was inspired by Kendall's near-death experience in his 20s when he questioned God [again] and jokingly used the concept of having Guardian Angels to process his trauma.

(Un)Free Will follows the spiritual paths of Gay Guardian Angels Joey McGee and TJ Wright III, who happen to be ex-boyfriends. They are assigned to Humans and given short missions that will, upon execution, improve the lives of others or prevent something bad from happening. While these goals might seem simple, Joey and TJ, who often create drama in their wake, find them difficult. And often times, they have to put aside their differences and work together to make ends meet.

In each film, Joey and TJ have clear, God-driven goals and often times become distracted by their past relationship and own needs. They often trigger each other or bring up the past, but ultimately (re)learn how to communicate for the sake of others.

Most Cast & Crew Members are being paid for their creative time and energy bringing this SERIES OF SHORT FILMS to life. Literally.

Starting funds are needed to help cover production costs, namely food and lodging. Lodging [in the Bay Area] is needed for Cast & Crew Members, who reside in Los Angeles.

We plan to submit these stand-alone 'short films' to many festivals, including prestigious festivals with focus on the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and San Diego. We hope to soon have a SEASON that will land on a streaming service for this concept to reach its full potential.

Anyone making a donation will receive FIRST LOOK updates and images from our pre-production, production, and post-production stages. Folks will also be invited to post-production Cast/Crew ZOOM 'wrap parties'.

We plan to have screening parties in Los Angeles AND in the San Francisco Bay Area soon after each "short" is complete.
