Ciao a tutti,

mi chiamo Silvina e sono la mamma e caregiver di Sofia.

Con il cuore in mano abbiamo deciso di aprire questa raccolta fondi per chiedere aiuto in un momento molto difficile della nostra vita.

Da oltre 6 anni Sofia convive con una grave malattia cronica multisistemica che colpisce diversi apparati del suo corpo: digestivo, muscolare, osseo e neurologico.

Si tratta di una condizione probabilmente autoimmune, nella quale il suo stesso organismo attacca sé stesso.

Nonostante ricoveri e visite sia in Argentina che in Italia, oggi Sofia non ha ancora ricevuto una diagnosi chiara né una terapia adeguata.

Finora sono stati eseguiti principalmente esami di routine, insufficienti per comprendere davvero l’origine della sua malattia.

Nel frattempo le sue condizioni sono peggiorate moltissimo.

Oggi Sofia ha difficoltà a camminare, spesso deve utilizzare una sedia a rotelle o un bastone per uscire di casa, trascorre molti giorni a letto e soffre anche di malnutrizione a causa dei problemi cronici all’apparato digerente.

La situazione è diventata urgente.

Purtroppo i tempi del Servizio Sanitario Nazionale per visite specialistiche ed esami approfonditi possono superare anche un anno, e Sofia non può più aspettare.

Per questo motivo abbiamo deciso di rivolgerci a specialisti privati, con l’obiettivo di effettuare esami specifici, consulti specialistici e finalmente cercare una diagnosi concreta che possa aprire la strada a cure e trattamenti adeguati.

I fondi raccolti saranno utilizzati per:

Sofia è una ragazza intelligente, forte e piena di voglia di vivere.

Ama la medicina e la ricerca scientifica, e non ha mai smesso di cercare risposte, studiando articoli medici e scientifici anche nei momenti più difficili.

Hello everyone,

My name is Silvina, and I am Sofia’s mother and caregiver.

With all our hearts, we have decided to launch this fundraiser to ask for help during a very difficult time in our lives.

For over 6 years, Sofia has been living with a severe chronic multisystemic disease that affects various systems in her body: digestive, muscular, skeletal, and neurological.

It is likely an autoimmune condition, in which her own body attacks itself.

Despite hospitalizations and medical visits in both Argentina and Italy, Sofia has not yet received a clear diagnosis or adequate treatment.

So far, mainly routine tests have been performed, which are insufficient to truly understand the origin of her illness.

In the meantime, her condition has worsened significantly.

Today, Sofia has difficulty walking; she often needs to use a wheelchair or a cane to leave the house, spends many days in bed, and also suffers from malnutrition due to chronic digestive problems.

The situation has become urgent.

Unfortunately, the wait times through the National Health Service for specialist visits and in-depth tests can exceed a year, and Sofia can no longer wait.

For this reason, we have decided to turn to private specialists, with the goal of conducting specific tests, specialist consultations, and finally seeking a concrete diagnosis that can pave the way for appropriate care and treatment.

The funds raised will be used for:

Sofia is an intelligent, strong young woman with a tremendous zest for life. She loves medicine and scientific research, and has never stopped searching for answers, studying medical and scientific articles even during the most difficult times.
