PARAMEDIC AID UKRAINE - Delivering Ambulances, Medical Kit

Hi, We are a Husband and Wife team based in the Rhondda Valley, South Wales. I am David, an Operational Advanced Paramedic Practitioner in South Wales, United Kingdom. My wife Anne is also in the Ambulance Service and is a Qualified Advanced Paramedic Practitioner and currently working in NHS111 Wales.

 

It is hard to believe that we started delivering Ambulances and Medical Aid, as well as delivering training and providing Pre-Hospital Emergency Care in 2022 just after the country was Invaded, and are still delivering Ambulances, Medical Aid and providing Pre-Hospital Emergency Care in Ukraine in 2025.

We have been involved in taking ex NHS and Private Ambulances filled with ambulance and medical equipment into Ukraine to help the civilian medical services. We take ambulances with ambulance and medical equipment into Ukraine and donate them to the Ukraine Medical Services, leaving them over there for their medical services to use.

 

We have handed over a lot of ambulances for work in Ukraine. Unfortunately, some of the ambulances that we have taken to Ukraine have been targeted and destroyed by Russian Military Action. This is why we need help to ensure we can continue to purchase and take ambulances into Ukraine to help the Civilian Medical Services.

 

We need to raise funds to purchase and send more ex NHS and Private ambulances as well as 4x4 ambulances and urgent medical supplies to Ukraine. We drive the vehicles into Ukraine, ensuring safe delivery.

It is expensive taking ambulances to Ukraine; after several trips, I am now looking for help to fund other vehicles and deliveries.

 

We have to purchase the vehicles, have them serviced, and insure them so we can drive them from the United Kingdom through Europe and into Ukraine.

 

We have to pay for the vehicles to use the ferry crossing or Channel Tunnel Crossing and pay for fuel for the journey that is more than 1,400 miles. Some of the ambulances are over 5.5 Ton in weight so the trip can be expensive.

 

We have to pay for accommodation for myself and Anne who drive the vehicles to their various destinations in Ukraine, then the bus or train fare to the boarder and from the boarder to an airport and then plane fare home from Poland. Once back in the UK, we have to then use bus or train services to get back home.

Our ambulances have been put to great work by the Ukraine medical services and have helped to save lives, evacuate injured and ill adults and children and have been really appreciated by the medical staff using them who consist of Paramedics, Ambulance Technicians, Nursing Staff and Doctors.

We hope to take 4x4 and normal road Ambulances over to Ukraine shortly to give to one of the medical teams we support to rhelp them to continue to save lives.
