Uganda Fire Starter 2018-2019
Donation protected
Maybe you've heard a story like this before, but now you have someone on the front lines: Me.
A small village in Buseesa Uganda, abandoned by many in society, is home to several hundred poorest of the poor. In this mountainous region, the fate of its people lie on the shoulders of a small group of missionaries, including one, incredible priest. He is calling for our help.
My name is Micaela Dyson, a recent college graduate from the University of Akron. Last August, I boarded a plane for Uganda to work as a volunteer engineer and teacher for young children. There is a tiny cement building church here that constitutes the pride and joy of this small town: Uganda Martyrs Parish.
During my time here, I have witnessed elderly men, young children, and pregnant mothers standing outside the doors of this cramped structure, eager to praise God for His blessings and kindness. When it rains, they stand straighter and praise louder.
One priest took matters into his own hands and designed the makings of an incredible church: A church to bring healing in a community, a place of beauty, a masterpiece of love and dedication.
Already, this new church is well under construction, but lack of funds have forced the work to be put on hold.
I have come to ask on their behalf: Will you help me gift these people with a donation for their church? They are the hardest working, generous, and compassionate people I have ever met.
A single dollar goes so far, especially in a third world country. I am pledging to donate a portion of my personal tithe every month until the church can be completed, and I want to urge you to do the same!
If you cannot donate yourself, please, share this with someone who can. God has given you and me different gifts and talents and backgrounds- when we work together, wow, that's how miracles happen. God bless you, my friend.
