Hi, I’m Joni, My husband and I have two young kids, my daughter 4 years old and my son 1 year old. We're currently staying with my senior mom as we’re in a dire situation after the recent typhoon.

It’s now day three, and we’ve had no rescue or relief. The water rose so fast that we lost everything—our clothes, kitchenware, our fridge, work from home items and beddings. During the flash flood we had to prioritize grabbing our kids and their essentials, like diapers and milk. We evacuated to the higher part of our property, which is my mom’s house, but the water still reached the third step of her stairs while inside our home, it’s up to the ceiling.

All of our belongings were destroyed, flooded, and nothing could be saved. None of our things can be used, and we have no clean water to do laundry or even drink.

We’re trapped here, and the only way to get help is if someone can swim or has a motorboat. Many neighbors are still on their roofs, waiting for food or rescue. Tragically, some have been found dead after being missing for days.

We’ve had to risk our health, swimming through the floodwaters just to find drinkable water for our children. Outside our front door, the water is up to my chest; outside our home, it reaches my chin, and I’m 5'4". In some parts along the way, I had to use a float just to avoid drowning, as the water is 7–8 feet deep.

If you have anything to spare, we would be beyond grateful.

I promise to share whatever we receive with other families as many are in urgent need of basic necessities like food, clean water, and medical supplies. Especially the infants needing formula milk and diapers.

Once our kitchen is cleaned and set up, we will use any proceeds to buy groceries and donate food for thousands of families, formula milk for infants, and potable water. Thank you for taking the time to read our story. May God bless your hearts.
