This group offers students at the University of Florida valuable hands-on experiencing designing and manufacturing by using the same comprehensive processes that engineers use in industry.
We have recently finished testing our Software Verification Engine (SVE), which is the first liquid engine developed by the University of Florida. SVE is a pressure fed engine with 140 Isp and produces 50 lbf at sea-level thrust. SVE has produced valuable data for our liquid engine development program.
Our current project is focused on achieving a successful combustion reaction with methanol and compressed air in an engine yet to be named. It will produce 45 lbf at sea-level of thrust and serve as the basis for our team to work with more energy dense propellants.
Your generous donations would go towards helping the team purchase supplies, tools, fuel, testing equipment/electronics, etc. If you have any further questions before donating please reach out the contact listed at the top of this page. Thank you!
As you can see we have already accomplished a great deal but we still have much ground to cover! We would like to conserve our momentum on this project and this is only possible thanks to your generous donations!
