Service Abroad: Dominican Republic

University of South Alabama Nursing students will be participating in a service abroad project in October.  They will be providing much needed nursing care in communities of the Dominican Republic where health care is a rare commodity. Additionally, the students will spend time at a local orphange that is home to children with multiple handicaps.
The patient population will include men, women, and children of all ages. Basic necessities such as vitamins, over-the-counter medications, and hygiene kits will be distributed.  Crayons, paper, and other art supplies will be given to the children at the orphanage.
Your donations are needed to help the students purchase those basic, yet essential medications and supplies. Any amount will help tremendously.
On behalf of all the people whose lives will be impacted by this unique journey, I say thank you.
