I've accomplished the unthinkable by making it to 30 years of age- super proud of this. I don't normally throw birthday parties for myself but I thought it appropriate this time. I'm aiming to throw the biggest party possible, an open bar for all my friends who can make it and I'm pretty sure we can make this happen if we do it college style. It's like back at Michigan State when we'd collect $5 a person to get a keg of PBR, except now we're in real life... in Los Angeles and the PBRs have turned into artisan crafted cocktails and they're no longer $5 a piece. What I'm suggesting is everyone throw in what they think they'd pay for drinks in an average night out (except tonight's not average) ahead of time and I'll David Copperfield that sum into the closest I can get to if not an actual open bar. We'll be partying in the lounge of Palihouse and if all goes right I'll have a room upstairs we can spill into afterwards or filter in and out of all night long.
At the end of the day, what's important to me is that you make it, so even if you've somehow gone sober since last we spoke please still come and pretend like you haven't :)
Barely made it to 30, should we go for 31? Help make that goal sound lofty and lets blow the roof off this mother. See you there!
