In the Summer of 2020, I started to write 2 1/2 BREATHS, a physical theatre play that explores an extraordinary love that moves through time and space, two human beings who navigate through the effects and trauma of cancer, and how the ones left behind live through the grieving process alone. I continued to work on this piece for almost a year. By the Spring of 2021, I felt that the script was ready for submission. 

 

On September 7, 2021 I was contacted by an off-Broadway theatre in New York City. Which brings us to this very moment. 2 1/2 BREATHS  will premiere at The Chain Theatre in Midtown Manhattan from May 16-June 5, 2022.

 

This will be my very first self-produced play. In order to bring this play to life, and world premiere it off off-Broadway in NYC, I need to generate $40,000. With your help and support:

$10 can be a meal; pay for an actor's train ticket; pay for an hour of child care.
$25 can mean 30 more minutes of rehearsal time in the space or pay for a costume piece.
$50 gives us an extra usher on a Saturday night or help with the printing of programs.
$100 helps us build a proper dance floor so the artists can feel safe and stay healthy.
$250 supports the idea of a second cast and understudies in case of sickness, injury, or family emergency.
$500 makes it possible to create an original score, with a live cellist, and gives the musician the support they need.
$1,000 allows for this play to continue its journey and bring this story to other theatres across the nation.
