Two Roads to Recovery

Allow me to introduce myself.

I am a Scotsman named Kirk.

Now to those unfamiliar with what I mean by that, it means I have a predilection for being proud and stubborn with a propensity to stand in the highlands barefoot and shirtless in the rain with nothing but a soggy kilt, a spear, and threateningly “phwaaar” as if I alone will hold the hillside together. Thankfully, it has recently occurred to me that maybe the wife is right, maybe I should come in out of the rain.

As a card-caring member of the Dragon Slayers Society I've tried to single-handedly manage more than any one person should, which has brought our household finances to a wholly unhealthy state as I try to balance self-employment and the caregiving of my wife, Katrina, who for those of you who don't know our story, fell ill last October, and after a successful surgery is now undergoing chemotherapy.

We've received a great deal of support from friends and family with the issues of daily life, but at this point really need financial assistance. Your help will relieve one of the greatest stressors in our life at a time when Katrina needs to focus on her treatments and recovery, and I need to focus on managing the household and being there for her in every way that I can.

Your funds would help us to:

Get current on the rent (approaching three months behind)
Get current on the utilities, gas and electric (two to three months behind)
Auto repair and upkeep – new tires and maintenance
Funding wellness and healing books and audios
Funding a healthier living environment with a water filter and repair to our Living Air filter
