Thank you so much for the donations so far. Your response has exceeded all expectations.
However it has come to our attention this morning that a lot of the smaller charities are missing out and the big campaigns get all the attention. Although NSW is the area affected worst we would like to also support the charities in our own backyard here in Victoria.
You probably all heard about the bushfires in Australia by now. As of today (8.January) an area bigger than Italy has burned down, 24 humans and more than half a billion animals have died and the total damage to the environment, communities and the country itself can't be assessed for some time.
Curran James of East Brunswick Tattoo and President of Turbojugend Wasteland is designing a special Turbojugend Bushfire relief patch that we will send out to anybody anywhere in the world who donates more than $15.
Please be aware that the patch is not the picture above but is designed right now and still needs to be produced and shipped so it will take a while until you receive yours. I will update the picture when the patch is done.
We rely of your donation because the response of our government to the fires has been a disgrace (more info in the link below):
Donations to our Victorian bushfire appeal will be distributed to wildlife shelters and carers to help rebuild enclosures and equipment that they have lost in the fires so that they can continue their lifesaving work, and support those that are struggling to cope with the enormous number of animals that will need care in the coming weeks and months.
