Tumble Up for FND

The first challenge has been completed!! In 11.5 hours Simon managed to Cycle Up The Tumble 10 times! How amazing is that! He would have done more however, it was bitterly cold and windy so we all agreed that 10 was just amazing as it is!

His next challenge is 155 miles in week! Can we get to £1500!!

As some of you already know, my daughter Amy has been diagnosed with FND (functional neurological disorder) and along with a breathing pattern disorder and Asthma she’s been going through it a bit lately.

It has taken a very long time to get this diagnoses, we are talking years, I’ve learned over the last few months even though a lot of people suffer with FND not many people have heard of it (and I include a lot of folk in the NHS).

I have had this crazy idea that I’m going to do in September not only to raise funds for ‘FND HOPE.’ but to also raise awareness of this condition as well.

I’m will be doing 2 rides:

For those of you old enough to remember there was a Dutch family that used to come over and run an event called ‘Tumble up for life’ basically you start at 6am in the morning and continue to ride up and down the tumble till 8pm in the evening. This will be my first ride on 14th September.

The second one- starting outside the Hardwick pub there is a 15.5 mile time trial loop that goes from the Hardwick pub down to the hardwick rbt up the A40 to the raglan rbt and back down the old raglan rd to the start, I plan on doing this loop 10 times, so 155 mile. This one will be two weeks later on the 28th September, starting at 6am.

Donations would be welcome and if anyone wants to join me in a loop or two or a climb up the tumble, then please feel free to come along and give us a bit of support.
