True Blue Line UK will challenge the lies, misrepresentation and exaggeration told by the Government and media about policing in the UK.  Since 2010 the Government have relentlessly cut funding for the police service so that officer numbers are now at levels last seen in 1985.  This has created a #CrisisInPolicing of which the public are largely unaware.

Peter Kirkham is a former Metropolitan Police Service  officer who regularly comments in the mainstream media on policing issues.  He is well-known as one of the few commentators who speak up for front-line officers and who explains things from their perspective.

In June 2017 Peter was interviewed on Sky News in the aftermath of the London Bridge terrorist attack.  He robustly challenged the lies being told by Government Ministers about the number of armed police officers currently available in England and Wales.  A clip from his interview was circulated on social media.  It went viral, receiving over 13m views and focusing the last few days of the General Election campaign on the question of police numbers.

Following that interview, Peter received literally hundreds of messages of support from police officers and their families around the UK, thanking him for speaking the truth and urging him to do more.  The True Blue Line UK campaign is the result.

The funds received will be used to facilitate Peter being able to more proactively get his message out to the public through the media.  As soon as funds are received, they will be put to use and, if the campaign is a success, the first proactive activity is planned for Autimn 2017.

By supporting this campaign you will help ensure that the public know the truth about the state of the police service, and the plight of beleaugered police officers, in the UK.

Peter will personally be hugely grateful for your support in enabling him to extend his ability to focus public attention on this issue.  The police officers of the UK, who it appears are desperate for someone to voice their concerns and explain things from their perspective as they have no voice themselves, will be grateful too.

The full story can be found in a series of three blogs.  Here is a link to the last of the three.  Links to the previous two are included within it.

Thank you for your support.
