Truckee Mom and Kids Lose Only Car

Car Fire: Single Truckee Mom with Two Elementary Kids lose only form of transportation.
Angela Gleason is a single mom in our community with two young daughters. The last 4 years she has been doing all the right things to live and work in Truckee successfully even with housing shortages, high rent, and huge winters. This working single mom is the primary provider for her and her two daughters.
Luck threw a curve ball this last week, on the way to work Angela's car caught fire and burned. No one was hurt, but the car was a total loss and due to its age did not have insurance coverage for a fire.
Angela made it to work a bit late (one of the few times in 4 years) but now needs a hand up for her and her girls.
Her friends and neighbors are asking for your help in raising seed money to get this family back into safe transportation. A car is critical for Angela to get to work, drive her daughters to school, go grocery shopping, attend doctors’ appointments and all the normal things a young family needs.
Angela Gleason, and her daughters Emily and Aubrey have lived in Truckee the last 4 years. She has always held a full time job and often a second job to make ends meet and take care of her two girls.
Her Truckee friends and neighbors are asking the community to rally and offer Angela a hand up so she can continue living in our community.
Would you join us in donating $20, $50 or $100 toward this important effort?
Please donate what you can to help this young family.
If you live in Truckee and prefer not to donate online, donations can also be made by check at Tri Counties Bank where there is an account being setup, or at the Truckee Hometown SEARS Store.
