Fighting WITH and FOR Troy :)

Troy Elliot Sibley- 21 years old.  6cm Synovial Sarcoma

As I write this there's no words to describe the feeling of seeing your only sibling's name in the "patient name here" box......

For all of Troys life he's been nothing but kind and compassionate. The most simple and loving son my Mom and Dad were so lucky to have (totally opposite from me ;) an awesome supportive brother who's never left my house or hung up the phone with me with out saying I love you and the uncle that my son Parker loves and adores more than pretty much anything in this world (including his wrestlers)

Troy was the same happy loving careless person he's always been when he went to the ER about 3 months ago for what appeared to be a cyst on his wrist. 5 drs later, an MRI, CT scan, PET scan, surgery, biopsy and long story short Troy has been diagnosed with a synovial sarcoma. Although his cancer is aggressive and very rare (1 in every million get it and 10% of that 1 will have the synovial type) we are comforted by the fact that so is Troy. He himself is 1 in a million and against all challenges still stands strong and moves forward with his head held high. Through this whirl wind of appts, surgeries, diagnosis, and our heavy hearts, it's been Troy who's been strong and allowed us to move forward even when at times it feels as if we're living in a bad dream.

As a family we want to give Troy the world. The best Drs, the best treatments, and the best opportunities for his life to come. He not only needs them but deserves them. We're doing all we can and contributing every ounce of our resources and time but sometimes it's still not enough. With a rare cancer comes the need for a rare Dr that specializes in it and with an aggressive cancer comes aggressive treatment. One that requires around the clock meds pumped through his body as well as the need for round the clock love, support, and caregiving from the people who give him the most comfort of all, his family. Unfortunately most of these things aren't covered through insurance and while we'll stop at nothing to give Troy the chance of a full, healthy, successful and cancer free life at the end of the day whether it be emotionally, spiritually, or financially there's times we just fall short.

As a family we welcome and appreciate any forms of support in advance. A prayer, an uplifting message,a donation, advice, or anything you feel would be helpful through this trying time would be absolutely amazing.

Please join us in our fight to not only cure Troy but help provide more research on this rare and horrible disease.
