My story of rescue & paws crossed recovery
Meow, my name is Trouble. Just a short time ago I was found on the roadside after being hit by a car. My back leg was badly infected and rotten, and my front paw was badly damaged. I had been hiding in pain, waiting for help for over a week. A kind lady took me to the emergency vet and saved my life.
The vets discovered I had an owner, but sadly, they abandoned me and chose not to cover my care. I was facing being put to sleep — until the kind lady who had only just met me stepped in and refused to give up on me. She made me hers and rushed me to the Queen Mother in Potters Bar.
Since then, my infected leg has been amputated and my front paw repaired with a screw. Thanks to her love, I now have a second chance at life — but my recovery will be long, and the vet bills are huge: £9,000, with £4,000 already paid upfront. She doesn't quite know how she's going to make the monthly payments.
I’m only 3 years old and now finally safe, but I need your help to stay on this journey. Any donation will help us, no matter how small, it would be greatly appreciated, and it would restore my faith in humans, like she has restored my faith and love in a new home.
