Trooper Jerry Smith Family Expense Fund

Trooper Jerry Smith was killed in a multi-vehicle accident two miles west of Bridgeport, in Morrill County on June 20, 2019, while on duty.

Trooper Smith was a U.S. Army veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and a Bronze Star recipient. He had served with the Nebraska State Patrol for five years and is believed to be the oldest recruit to complete the training academy. He is survived by his wife and three adult children.

This fund has been set up by the State Troopers Association of Nebraska and all funds will be given to Trooper Smith's family for any and all expenses incurred following his line of duty death.
