Tri-State Canine Response Team
Donation protected
We never want to think events like Orlando will happen but the reality of the situation is they do happen. Our teams go through extensive training to be able to provide support for both those immediately impacted as well as decompression of Emergency Responders. As new organization we do not have excessive funds for deployment - we have our first major fundraiser in Oct. Any support you can provide our teams to deploy so we can support the Emergency Responders and those impacted is greatly appericated.
Bad things happen. We can’t avoid them but we CAN recover from them. The Tri- State Canine Response Team is prepared to help victims deal with trauma on an
emotional level. Sometimes as simple as snuggling with a dog can go a LONG way….and is far from “simple” in the power to comfort.
The recent suicide pact among 4 high school students left a devastated student body behind grieving
The AMTRAK derailment left traumatized, panicked survivors in its wake
Hurricane Sandy wreaked mind-boggling disaster that tore apart entire communities
While on the surface these events appear disparate, what they share in common are victims in trauma. After the emergency medical teams, rescue teams and police
personnel arrive on the scene our Canine Teams follow behind to tend to wounds that medical personnel can’t: loss, despair, fear and the overwhelming need to gain comfort.
We are seeking financial support to launch our Teams. The cost of training and outfitting each team is $1,000.
