Hello Citizens of the World
I have a story to tell. A story about about a courageous young boy fighting an Evil Villain!. But before I get too far along....Hi, my name is Kim Castellano and my sisters son, my superhero nephew Trevor Kohler-Muller, and his parents need your help.
Trevor is a 9 year old boy from Jamesburg, NJ that was diagnosed with Acute Lympholastic Leukemia (B-ALL) this past Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Trevor has had many procedures performed on him already and is being very brave in the early stages of this battle. But we already knew that Trevor was brave, because this story actually begins back in January 2016. This is when Trevor was first admitted to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick with a blood sugar level that was considered life threatening. After a series of tests, he was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. Trevor's mom Shannon Kohler and dad Troy Muller joined forces with the doctors and Trevor to battle this enemy, and they were well on their way to controlling the Diabetes. Trevor was testing his own sugar levels and even giving himself his own insulin shots( Amazing right?. I mean he is only 9). But now along comes another villain to fight against, Leukemia. B-ALL is a cancer of the blood cells that occurs in the bone marrow, so one of the first tests performed is a dreaded (and painful) bone marrow biopsy. This test was followed by a spinal tap, at which time the first of three Chemo drugs were administered through the tap. A permanent port was also surgically installed. Needless to say Trevor is now staying at Robert Wood Hospital full time, and his mom Shannon is staying right by his side. This means Shannon can't continue working to earn a living to keep a roof over their heads. Anyone who knows Shannon knows that Trevor is her everything, and as the primary provider for their family she does whatever it takes to make sure that they are provided for. We are praying that the insurance companies do their part for the medical aspect of this situation, however it is keeping up with the everyday living expense part that is going to be tough. If you can find it in your heart to please help Trevor and his family by donating so that they can get through this ordeal we will all be forever grateful. We would please also ask that you pray for Trevor (and Shannon and Aunt Kim) to help them to have the strength to fight this battle over the next 3+ years that they are facing. Thank you everyone for taking the time to read our story, and we we will keep you updated on his progress via this fund. God Bless.
