Trav’s biggest fight yet

Hi, I have started this fun raiser for My sweet boy Travis. He was a happy, bright, enthusiastic young boy his whole life.

when he turned 16 he started an Auto Electrician Apprenticeship - 3 months into the apprenticeship Trav started having seizures, Migraines, double vision, vertigo, nausea, vomiting, paralysis, fevers & a lot of other serious medical issues. I took him to the emergency room in Albany & they flew Trav straight to Perth children’s hospital.
Trav went straight under the knife & they diagnosed him with hydrocephalus (water on the brain) he’s brain fluid couldn’t drain out naturally anymore so they put in a shunt (one way valve to a tube that ran into his jugular vein, so now all his brain fluid goes into his heart & bloodstream.

Trav started to feel better so they sent us home but 3 months later he’s valve got infected (meningitis) or it would malfunction & the only way to fix the problem was to have more brain surgeries.

From 2016 to 2022 Trav has had 36 brain surgeries!
On top of everything already he has been diagnosed with testicular cancer last January & went through chemotherapy & radiation pretty much most of last year.

Trav has had one round after round of chemotherapy & radiation but got so sick from all the side effects he doesn’t want to do it again.

Trav now has meningitis (brain infection) & sepsis (a blood infection) & will be in hospital for the next 6-8 weeks. I’m praying that he pulls through Because he is such a sweet boy & the world really is he’s oyster. He’s dream is to get his paragliding license & fly high like a bird on the weekends to be in the present & not think about all his pain & anxiety.

“Mum, all I want to do is give you back all the money you’ve spent on hotel rooms, fuel, food from all those times you were staying with me in Perth.”

travs Nan (my mum) has had medical problems her whole like & doctors have said she only has 6 months left. She lives in England & Trav has only met her 3 times. It breaks my heart that she is too sick to come to Australia & support Trav. I want to take him to England one last time & spend a month over there with her so they can have one last bonding session.

i just want him to not think about his pain, sickness & the future for a moment & to be totally in the present moment.
I am a single mum who works a full time job & just don’t have the extra money to spend on flights, hotel rooms, food & all the other costs involved with travelling across the world.

I have always been the person to give to charities & join in the school fundraisers, so this isn’t something that i wanted to do but if it’s going to get my little man to See nan before she passes then so be it.

I are so very grateful for each & everyone of you & will return the gesture whenever i can!

❤️
