Hi, My name is Travis and I'm hoping to raise money for two separate surgical procedures to remove the excess skin after I have lost over 60kg (130 lbs).
From 2009 and 2014, I had four knee reconstructions on my left knee. I originally damaged the knee in a motorcycle accident in 2007.
In 2011, I was prescribed Methadone for chronic pain and associated misuse of opioid pain medications. Coupled with a diagnosis of Major Depressive Disorder and associated medications and sedentary lifestyle, my weight ballooned to 168kg by the end of 2016. I was in a dark place.
With the help of a long term rehabilitation program and a community of supportive people, I managed to become drug free in 2017...but the weight remained a constant reminder of a life lived less than full.
I've been committed to helping others help themselves from 2018, when I completed education and began working in the Drug and Alcohol Community Services sector....but the weight remained a constant reminder of a life lived less then full.
My weightloss and health transformation began in 2019. I joined a gym, began eating differently and began walking. I have my German Shepherd, Mingo to thank for the consistent motivation to get out and about.
The process of change has continued as I joined an online coaching and training program called Better Body Academy. With the help of my coaches and community I have finally managed to get to below 110kg and have maintained this for over 6 months.
I am so proud, blessed and grateful for where I am now. I have just completed a Certificate in Personal Training and am feeling so driven to give back to the world what has been given to me...knowledge, participation, effort and belief.
I live by the words....'Keep Going Keep Growing,' and 'I'm a HAPPY, HEALTHY and HANDSOME MAN!' If I can impart my experience onto just a few people who benefit from it, then it has been for the best.
The initial quote for the first operation, called a Fleur De Lis Abdominoplasty Lipectomy is $12990 AUD. This is the surgical procedure quote without the Anaesthetists Fee or Hospital Fee.
The initial quote for the second operation, called an Upper Thoracic Lift Circumferential Lipectomy is $15175 AUD. This is the surgical procedure quote without the Anaesthetists Fee or Hospital Fee.

I have access to approximately $12000 AUD, which I can access via a Superannuation withdrawal on compassionate grounds for a medical procedure.
I anticipate the total for both operations to be around the $40000 AUD mark and will update as soon as I secure a final quotation.
