Transplant Patient getting his PhD

Donation protected
Edgardo Hernandez was partially paralyzed and couldn’t walk for 3 years and due to a high level of depression he gained so much weight and reached well over 400lbs. In 2010 he courageously decided to get the gastric bypass surgery and dropped down to a “healthy 180lbs”. To make a long story short, we found research that shows that liver cirrhosis is correlated with bypass surgery. Edgardo is only 42 yrs old and he recently graduated with honors from the University of Arizona with a Masters in Psychology. He had big dreams to become a professor and change the way large corporate businesses are conducted through intercultural and race mentoring .His research focuses on affective intercultural mentoring. Unfortunately due his current health status he is now being hospitalized for Nash liver cirrhosis. His only avenue is to have a transplant surgery. It’s been a constant struggle as he has been in and out of the hospital. He recently had to resign from his job at which he was one month shy from completing his first year, for medical reasons that have progressively worsened within the past months. His doctors have all confirmed that he will be needing a whole liver transplant because the M.E.L.D. blood tests concluded him at 25 points. A normal liver is typically at 7 points and anything over 15 points needs a liver transplant. His medication is extremely expensive and although with the support from his parents Marlene and Edgardo Sr. Hernandez has helped, the burden can’t be solely on them. If anyone can help please know that it would be more than appreciated.
