Tragic Fatal Attack on Our Beloved Awwal
Early hours of Saturday, July 24th 2021, 25 year old Awwal Adebayo Ladipo, the first born son of Tinu and Bayo Ladipo was brutally assaulted by a group of boys which led to his demise on Monday. July 26th, 2021. According to the Minnesota Medical examiner, he died due to blunt force head trauma sustained from the assault. Videos of the assault was posted on social media by his attackers bragging about it.
This is an unimaginable loss to the Ladipo family and all who loved him. No parent should ever have to witness the loss of a child and have video evidence of how he was intentionally attacked.
Awwal was a highly motivated high achiever! Graduated at the St. Cloud State University, majored in Liberal Arts of Science and attained an associate degree in Information Systems. He recently started a new IT role whilst helping to run the family business. He was an international track and field athlete, winning several high school championships!
Awwal was kind and considerate young man, part of a close knit loving family. His siblings, Tobi and Demi are devastated by the loss of their big brother who all his life was a role model to them. He encouraged his younger brother and sister to also participate in sporting passion like track and basketball. They are struggling to imagine life without their big brother Awwal!
This is a senseless tragedy that should NEVER have happened. This family needs justice as they begin to pick up the pieces and reimagine life without their beloved Awwal!
While we don't understand why this happened, we do know that God is in control and he is near to the broken hearted. Even through the questions, the tears and heartache, we know that Awwal is with his Savior.
Mathew 11:28 "Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest."
No family should ever have to go through another senseless killing of a young person.
All funds will go to assist the family for funeral expenses and to seek justice for Awwal!
Thank you for your support.
Blessings
