Tragedy on the Boise River

It’s not every day that you receive the phone call informing you your friends lives have changed forever!! As many of you have already seen in the news and on social media there was a tragic accident on the Boise River where a rope swing tree had fallen on a group of people, injuring several and sending a handful to the ICU.

Many of us would view this is an every day activity, just as they had. You don’t go to the river expecting your life to change. However, for our friends that day was yesterday. Our friends Andrew and Kaitlin had their lives forever altered. Kaitlin has been released from the hospital but has several injuries, Andrew is currently in the ICU at St. Alphonsus in Boise. This morning he underwent his first surgery to repair his broken back that he suffered from the falling tree. The prognosis currently is that he has lost all mobility from the waist down. I know he is a fighter and will do everything within his power to make a full recovery!

They now have to put their wedding plans on hold in order to recover and pay medical bills. Let’s help them pay for their bills and dream wedding!

At this point he and his Fiancé have many doctors visits and therapies in their future along with having to make changes to their home in order to make it wheelchair accessible.
