Aidan Batchelor worked for HSBC for almost 30 years and was a very well known character in Sheffield - and indeed around the HSBC world! He was diagnosed suddenly in Oct 2024 with Pancreatic Cancer and died in December of the same year. I had the pleasure of working with him on and off and cycling with him on several charity adventures

Aidan loved cycling and was involved in many long distance adventures connected to the Bank and helped raise £1000s towards various good causes.

In memory of Aidan, I am undertaking several challenges this year, to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

First I've completed the Sheffield-Birmingham-Sheffield ride with several colleagues and friends who knew Aidan

Next up is London Edinburgh London, a slightly different kettle of fish and more endurance than enjoyable.

Finally, in September I'll be doing the Tour de 4 event in Glasgow.
