The Touchdown Project
The Touchdown Project is an initiative bringing American Football to the youth of Jamaica. The Jamaican American Athletic Development (JAMAAD), in partnership with Jamaica's Ministry of Education, Youth and Information, and the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment & Sports, is rolling out football programs in High Schools across Jamaica.
JAMAAD, a US-based nonprofit, provides coaches, US high school coaching certification, equipment, gear, and infrastructure development to Jamaican public schools, allowing over 800 students to learn and participate in American football.
Our Goal: Helping Jamaica's Youth gain access to opportunities through American Sports.
Our Need: We are rolling out our second and most expansive summer football combine/camp in July 2018. Bringing American coaches and players to Jamaica to assist in teaching the basics of the sport of American football. To accomplish this, we need to raise $25,000 for the equipment, gear, coaching, organization, and infrastructure to put on these camps.
Please help us reach our goal and give hope and opportunity to the youth of Jamaica through American football. We cannot do it without your help!
