Australian farmers in the Lower Murray Darling Basin are being pushed out of existence by the MDBA and the artificial water shortage they've created.
Since I released a series of 4 videos in May this year, which attracted over 1 Million views, we've started getting strong traction in the mainstream media including Ch 9, 7 news, Sky, 2GB, and ABC, along with some great coverage in print from some fantastic journalists. (to be clear, some amazing journalists were already working on this issue before my videos, I am NOT claiming credit for all the above, but I believe I've increased the coverage and accelerated the rise of this issue in the media)
As a result of this media coverage, Water Minister David Littleproud is under pressure, as is Environment Minister Sussan Ley. The Nationals Party are in disarray, and increasingly the Morrison Government are being forced to actually face this issue instead of brushing it aside.
However we still have not delivered the 'knock out blow', and that's what this video aims to be.
Most of the Main Stream Media (with some notable exceptions for whom I'm very grateful) are followers rather than leaders. By creating a video that arms them with the information they need for their stories, we can continue to drive the narrative forward and keep the heat on the Government.
'Blood In The Water' will deal directly with the volume of water flowing out to sea from the Lower Lakes, and then directly counter the absurd objections raised by Littleproud, Ley, and others, as to why they STILL haven't fixed the problem.
We've heard excuses from them that amount to finger pointing, saying their hands are tied, blaming legislation (when they are IN the house where they can CHANGE legislation...), and denying that some of the facts are even facts.
This video will be a no-holds-barred attack, laying bare the gobsmacking mismanagement and placing the blood on their hands for their continued dithering. It is designed to break the will of the deniers and force them to come to the table and start fixing this mess, or to be brushed aside by those who will.
This issue has been building for years. We've tried being polite, we've been patient, we've acted in good faith and trusted them when they've said they're 'working on it'. We've waited years while study after report have been handed down... all of which have recommended change, and none of which have been acted on.
Well time's up.
The funds raised will pay for my crew, travel and expenses on the road, plus post-production. If the fundraiser exceeds its target then surplus funds will be used to promote the video and conduct other activities to drive this fight forward.
