This campaign is established in honor of Tom Fisher to fund college accounts for the benefit of his two children - Patrick (12) and Emily (9).
Anyone who knew Tom Fisher would agree that he was just, well, an INCREDIBLE person to say the least! His strong love for family and friends, sense of humor, impossibly positive outlook on life, compassionate demeanor, and unwavering commitment and dedication to things dearest to him were just some of his defining characteristics. NONE of these things changed about him during his eight year battle with brain cancer. He fought ceaselessly and courageously - never asking for anything other than our prayers of support.
Over the years, one of the core values to which Tom remained steadfastly dedicated was providing for the needs of his family. In support of this, at his own insistence, he continued to go to work every day. Through surgeries, round after round of chemotherapy, and multiple days long radiation treatments. Through significant health setbacks and hospitalizations. NOTHING was going to keep him from the important task of taking care of those dearest to his heart. “Taking a day off” was not in his vocabulary.
To all who knew him, his physical, mental, and spiritual strength, in the face of an unrelenting disease and grueling medical treatments, was inspirational beyond words.
At this time, I am asking you to honor Tom by carrying on his legacy of courage, strength, and dedication to his family.
Please make a donation to continue to fund the college tuition accounts that Tom and Julie started for Patrick and Emily. It was a paramount goal of Tom’s to provide for his children’s college educations. It would be a great tribute if we could now “carry the baton” for Tom and work towards making his goal a reality.
