A while ago I went through a hard time. I stopped going out, I felt unhappy with the people around me, and most of my days went to sitting behind a screen. I think apps and feeds keep a lot of us scrolling instead of meeting.

So I started building Table42 on my own. It's an app where you meet one person over one shared interest, at a local café. Right now I'm running across Utrecht to ask cafés to take part, and I film how it goes on TikTok at @Table42.club.

Table42 is a company, Table42 B.V., not a charity. Donations go to the company, not to me personally. They pay for what a small start-up has to pay before it earns anything: a lawyer, an accountant, a security check of the app, and the app's running costs.

You get nothing in return for a donation: no meetup tickets, no shares, no perks. Just my thanks, and I'll post an update here on what the money was spent on.
