Diane and Robert Tobias Memorial Fund

 

 

We mourn the Passing of Robert and Diane Tobias at UPMC Community Hospital in Harrisburg, PA.

 

Robert Tobias passed away December 17th, 2021 of a stroke but had been battling Lewy Body Dementia.

Diane Tobias passed away December 22nd, 2021 of stage 4 cancer.

 

Diane loved to teach and mentor children and had 3 grandsons. She had a strong faith and was an active and beloved member of Grace United Methodist Church. There she loved projects that involved the youth. She helped with Operation Christmas Child, Samaritan's Purse, and the local church Easter Egg Project.

 

Robert Tobias was a local baseball coach, basketball coach, and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, and especially in educating youth about wildlife conservation. He wanted everyone to enjoy the outdoors as he did and was part of many local clubs like 4H, National Wild Turkey Federation, Trout Unlimited, and Boone and Crockett Club. Later in life when he developed Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's Disease he chose outdoor hiking trails and found serenity inside the center.

 

A memorial for their life is planned at Grace United Methodist Church on 982 Medical Road Millersburg

PA on March 13th 2022. A time has not yet been set. To be announced.

 

Robert and Diane are survived by their 3 children...Jason Tobias, Scott Tobias, and Amanda Tobias.

 

In Honor of their service to others, the family asks for donations to benefit the Ned Smith Center, Grace United Methodist Church, and creation of  scholarship fund in the name of Robert and Diane for their service to the youth of the community.
