To help our Mom with costly expenses

I’m executing this fund raiser for my mom, Lorna K VanBuren.

As many if you know by now, mom was diagnosed Stage 4 Metastatic Adenocarcinoma (Colon Cancer) on 02/14/2020. As the shock set in, we have been tossing around ideas for a benefit for her. We decided to set up a go fund me page instead.

Mom continued to work as best she could during treatment. But she has had to give that up. Though Medicare mostly covers medical costs, there are so many other expenses involved. Mom’s car is now disabled. Repair cost is beyond their budget, making it tough for her to meet appointments and such while robbing some of her ability to feel independent.

Mom has experienced significant weight loss from medications. She’s moving past some of those meds now and working with a dietician to regain healthy weight. The thing is, the cost of recommended foods and supplements surpasses their budget. They have sought aid for groceries, car repair and some other expenses, but their social security is too much to qualify.

They are proud folks, but have bowed to the fact that they need help.

Times are tough for all. No donation would be too small to be greatly appreciated. As always, prayers are very much welcomed.
