Offset cost of caring for Sean & kids

Hi, my name is Shannah Kosek Scotch, and I am fundraising for my best friend of 46 years, Kristin, and her beautiful family…Sean, Cameron, Joseph and Eddie McNicol. Sean is 53 years old and was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in February 2023. He has been treated at the East Liverpool City Hospital, in East Liverpool, OH; the Trinity Health System, in Steubenville, OH; UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA and is currently in his second medical trial through the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. He is experiencing challenges with his trial; however, he is a Notre Dame Fighting Irishman and he is fighting like hell!

Sean is being cared for by Kristin and their 3 children. The children, who range in age from 15-23, and Kristin, have endured a plethora of hardships and difficulties emotionally, mentally, physically and financially. Although they remain steadfast in their faith, financial costs continue to add up and be a challenge. Trips to/from Cleveland, daily meals for a family of 5, converting a home into a hospital room and transitional safety nets for Sean to move about the home with ease, around the clock care for Sean, the holidays, etc. are just a few of the added expenses that have been endured during this highly emotional and taxing time in their lives. As a result, any amount that can be donated would be greatly appreciated.

If you know anything about Kristin, you know that her heart is one full of gold, love and giving. She has always put others ahead of herself and continues to do just that. She is a Proverbs 31 woman: she is clothed in strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Many women do noble things, but Kristin surpasses them all!
