It's so hard to find the right words to describe who TJ was without it sounding understated. It feels impossible to have to use the past tense when writing this.
I think we're all in a similar state of mind- shock and disbelief. He was an incredible, genuine, caring and loving person who loved his country enough to sacrifice everything and fly to the other side of the world to protect our freedom. For that alone, all of us are forever grateful. He was tough as nails with a heart of gold, and gone way too soon.
Let's come together in remembrance of TJ and make this a little easier on his family by sharing the financial burden. Please give whatever you can, whether it's $2 or $200.
