After roughly six years of battling with a genetic kidney disease and having to rely on dialysis machines to keep her alive, Tina Pica is finally getting a kidney transplant! Her aunt Christy has graciously given Tina the gift of life, by selflessly offering to be her "living donor" for which she is a match. Her surgery at UCLA is set for September 9th.      Tina’s surgery requires a hospital stay that will incur an out of pocket expense of about $2,000. In addition, she will be on a regimen of 10-15 new medications that are partially covered by insurance as well, however the anti viral medication she will be required to take for 3 to 6 months following the surgery is not covered, which is an expense of $7,500 that she is expected to pay.      Tina and her family are so grateful for all of your love and support as she steps forward into this new journey, a promising future for which she finally has a chance to live a long and healthy life.
