Our wonderful friend Justina Pickard went to be with her Lord and savior on December 7, 2016. For those who knew Tina, her smile and charm were infectious and she could leave you in a better mood than before you saw her. We created this page to work to support her family, especially her partner Bob-E and her daughter Ali. We want to lessen the impact of not only finances, but the grief they are enduring and will continue to endure over the coming months and years.
Tina battled her cancer for over ten years. Her cancer was an extremely rare form involving tumors on the spinal cord. She was one of about ten people to ever have this type of cancer. She was always strong and continued to smile through it all, even immense pain she was experiencing. She was admitted to University of Alabama Medical Center November 11, 2016 for increased headaches and other illness. Her doctors were diligent to address her pain and work to find an answer as to what was causing her problems. After countless tests and biopsies, no answers were present. Ultimately, it was found her cancer had spread and was very aggressive.
Tina passed away on her birthday, December 7, 2016. She was surrounded by family, friends, and had spent the entire day listening to phone calls, videos, and well wishes from all of those who knew her.
If anyone is able to donate to her family at this time, even a penny, it will be greatly appreciated. We thank you to everyone who prayed and continues to pray for Tina and her family. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers for the road ahead.
Tina, you will be missed in a way that can’t be expressed. Thank you for being the brightest smile in the crowd and always knowing what to say. Your selflessness was always noted and never missed. We love you so much.
