Little Timmy needs prostate surgery

Hi friends,
If you know me, you probably know Timmy's rescue story. And you probably also know I don't like to ask for help/money... but here we are.
After 2 days of severe constipation and pain, we found out today that Timmy has an abscess on his prostate that requires urgent "rather complicated and expensive surgery" (per my vet) that will cost in the range of $5,000-7,000. I thought this would be a $250 vet visit with a simple fix. He has so much spunk and a long life ahead of him. This surgery is absolutely necessary to remove the abscess before it gets worse. Unfortunately there is no medicine/antibiotics that will simply cure/get rid of it.
As someone who does not just have 5-7k laying around, Timmy and I are asking for help. Any contributions would be so greatly appreciated. The last thing I want to do is dump him at a shelter due to the cost of surgery. That would be the absolute last resort and I cannot even imagine surrendering him. I hate asking for help like this, but this is not a cheap surgery... Timmy thanks you from the bottom of his sweet little heart in advance.
If you dont know Timmy's rescue story, here it is...
On May 4th my sister and I saw a post on a lost and found dogs facebook group that a small dog was running loose in a busy area, so we set out to try and secure him... call it fate or luck, the last place we looked after 2 hours searching, we found him sitting in a parking lot. No tags. Took him to the vet - no microchip. We put up "found dog" posters all over, made a report with TAS, posted on facebook, called vets and groomers etc... tried everything to find his people... no one recognized or claimed him.
He got on perfectly with my dog and cat and just fit right into our family and he is the sweetest little angelpie... he quickly became my shadow and I could not help falling in love... I did not have the heart to drop him at a shelter. So he became mine.
Timmy is approximately 6-7 years old, and (although an irritant at times lol), he is the funniest, quirky little thing and is sweet as pie. Anyone who has met Timmy knows that to know Timmy, is to love Timmy.
I expected that at some point in time, having 2 dogs and a cat would likely result in some vet costs, and I committed to being his momma anyways... but this news came at a very bad time for me and I did not expect anything like this just a couple months into taking him in... and, well, it is a lot of money.
Anything helps. We appreciate you taking the time to read and contribute anything possible.
With so much love and appreciation,
Timmy aka Timoteo/Timothy aka Tiny Tim aka Timbit aka Timbo aka Timoush
