SHOW YOUR LOVE FOR THE LUNATIC
This GoFundMe page has been created for the biker buds, friends and family of Tim Duguay for the purpose of raising money to help offset medical costs/travel expenses as a result of his recent motorcycle accident on Sunday July 26th, 2015 in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Tim lives in Jay, Maine and was on his first day of travel back home after visiting Maggie Valley, North Carolina where he had traveled on his motorcycle for a Kawasaki Vulcan Riders Forum reunion.
His newly purchased Yamaha Star Stratoliner Deluxe didn't fair too well against a deer that caused the accident. The deer didn't make it. Tim remains 6 feet above ground and his reward - a broken clavicle and ankle. It most certainly could have been much worse.
The good folks at Johnson City Medical Center (an "expensive Holiday Inn" as Tim called it) have been taking great care of him as he recovers.
THE NUTS AND BOLTS
Tim went on this motorcycle trip by himself. He lives in Maine. The accident was in Tennesee. Tim has limited medical coverage. He will not only have the cost of his care and hospital stay a couple thousand miles away but travel costs to fly home - as it certainly won't be on his bike!
His wife Kimi is going down to Tennesee to fly back with him - another added expense and missed wages at work for her as well.
And of course, the added expense of figuring out how to get his bike home.
YOU CAN HELP A FRIEND IN NEED
** DISCLAIMER: Tim did not ask for this page to be put up. He wouldn't. Tim is not aware this page is being created on his behalf - until he sees it on his Facebook page. Tim will be upset that this has been created for him. I love you buddy - but accept it and like it my friend! :) -Sparky **
To those of us that know Tim - he is a gentle giant. He can appear to have a rough exterior but he is a softy at heart. If he can help someone, and he has the means (and sometimes even if he doesn't), he will.
Soooooo
For the advice he gave you....the wrench he turned for you.....the Lunibin pick-up or delivery he made for you.....the bike he told you to buy (or not buy)......the Cookie Elf delivery he made to you.....the photos he took of you.....the stories he tells of his adventures via his photos (that he may have taken of you)......or the general pleasure and amusement he may bring to your day with his comments, musings, humor or just plain lunacy......
TIME TO GIVE BACK
I knew Tim knew alot of people but when he first posted about his accident on Facebook and I saw 174 comments of supporters and well wishers - Wow!
So folks - give what you can. Let's show our support for the Lunatic...biker brethren and friend. No donation is too small and every little bit helps.
Pay It Forward.
Thanks.
WHAT IF 100 people donated:
$1 = $100
$5 = $500
$10 = $1,000
