Tim Clark Underwater Memorial Fund
:::::::UPDATE OCT 21, 2015:::::::We really wanted something that captured both Dad's playful inclination and also his love of the ocean. He was a fun spirit with a knack for adventure and always good at finding a little trouble, but the ocean also brought a meditative tranquility he loved. (That's him in the top left corner)
The plan is to marry these two juxtaposing feelings by combining the relaxed state of a traditional buddha with the classic image of childhood wonderment, Peter Pan anxiously sitting. Of course, this is very early design, but I wanted to give everyone insight into the idea and where we're hoping to take it. While I don't think this yet captures the spirit of the concept, there is a lot of detail to add and it's the start!
All the best,
~Jason

Wednesday morning a diver in Pompano Beach lost his life while on a chartered scuba diving expedition. That diver was our beloved father. Tim Clark was was a devoted dad, a kind soul, a fearless adventurer, and a loyal friend to all. For Tim, life was about two things - his family, and the sea. He was an avid diver and loved nothing more than existing beneath the waves. The ocean was a place that held within it both wisdom and wonder. From this place he simultaneously found excitement and also serenity.
We don't know much about what actually happened four days ago when he was taken from us. What we do know is he was found 40 feet below the surface, unconscious on the ocean floor. The reality of this has left us in a state of shock, devistation, and heartbreak. The only solice we find is in knowing that his last moments were spent in his favorite place doing what he loved the most. He was in his temple. He was surrounded by beauty. He was at peace.
My brother and I would like to give our dad a memorial fitting of the man that he was and the life he so fiercely lived. His passion for the ocean has inspired us to create a monument containing his ashes and place it in the sea. In this way he can forever rest in his most favorite of places. The place he loved, the place he lived, and the place where he left us forever.
The above are examples of what we'd love to achieve. If even just 50 people donate $100 we will be able to build this legacy for our dad, but we are grateful for any size donation. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you so much for your love and support.
